Taj Agra Fine Indian Cuisine, Melbourne

If you know me well, I always have a heart for Indian cuisine, not “roti canai” mamak. But I mean real fine indian cuisine. As again, we were getting fed up with Australian food, we walked about 20 minutes away to Taj Agra, a restaurant you can’t miss if you’re along Maroondah Highway, Ringwood.

Upon entering, we were seated and without further await, we ordered our drinks. I ordered Mango Lassi, always my favorite order in Indian restaurant.

My two friends ordered James Boags beer.

As we can’t decide what to get, we ordered the Banquet set menu.

Introducing the first dish, chicken tikka. It tasted similar to Tandoori Chicken I would say, aromatic and full of flavor.

More and more foods was coming to our table, it felt like waiting to be fed :D

One of the best naan and garlic naan I ever tasted. It fulfilled three characteristics – It’s thin slice, it’s soft and it's  chewy ! Just can’t have enough of these, man.

An finally, a table full of foods. This was a portion for two actually as Aaron ordered a ala carte and did not want to join us for the banquet set.

   

I would recommend this place, cozy environment and food above average. The banquet set is simply worthy.
