China Treasures Restaurant at SIME Darby Convention Centre

As mentioned in earlier post, this post is again about what SIME Darby Convention Centre has to offer. By dining at the China Treasure, you will get the buy the Moon Cakes at RM10++ PER BOX (Total of 4 Moon Cakes). I repeat, it’s total of 4 moon cakes at RM10++. Yes I know Sime Darby just reported a pre-tax revenue loss of 43%, but that doesn't stop me to enjoy the delicious Chinese Treasures + the moon cakes :) Of course the first picture must show the restaurant front with “lengchai”, right?

Wifey and I were the first to arrive. Upon entering, we were brought to a table settings for 10 :)

One will definitely not miss the big pretty vase displayed in front of the entrance. While in the entrance, you will be tempted for the advertisement poster.

On the table itself, can’t help myself to take a picture of this beautiful flower.

As an eye-opener, these are some Awards received by this restaurant as being Best Chinese Restaurant.

The variety of teas are displayed, fear not to ask for your favorite one.

As usual, some appetizer to start with if anyone feels hungry.

For the first time, the moment you are waiting for, right? Guess what’s the first dish? It was Yee Sang !!

Next is the star of the night - The Shallow Fried Crispy Chicken was fried very well resulting in paper-thin crispy skin. The meat was also smooth and moist, definitely a hard to resist!

Next dish was the Steamed Patin in Shanghai Style, slightly spicy and full of gingery taste. The taste is average, not kind of the fish I like, although wifey loves it.

Other favorite of the night was the Braised Prawns with Chef’s Home Made Sauce, which were fast and furiously gone ! The taste was so aromatic, juicy and succulent on the inside! It was deep fried first and then braised with the special home made sauce, so I could still taste some crispy bits on the outside of the prawn.

The vegetable is little pretty average, nothing to shout about actually.

Last dish was Steamed Bean curd with Black bean sauce, a smooth and soft with the fish meat paste on top of the bean curd gave it the correct balance of soft at the bottom and firm on top. Good to have with white rice !

This is definitely a treasure to be re-visited again, love the prawns and chicken dishes the most!! Hmmm, another addition to my list for my upcoming birthday ! :)
