Have you ever feel bored and no idea what to have for dinner? Introducing something new, the Mexican way at Serena, Hotel Nikko. Alright, I do feel the first sentence sounds like a common advertisement line in TV commercial :D
The year 2010 has been prosperous for all of my blogger friends as we have virtually travelled to China, Japan, Lebanon (to be posted soon) and now Mexico. Serena Brasserie of Hotel Nikko, together with the Embassy of Mexico are currently running a promotion on Mexican buffet in conjunction with Mexico’s Bicentennial Celebration, ‘A Festival of Flavours’ featuring renowned Chef-Owner Daniel Ovadia from Paxia Restaurants.
I’ll start with the Star Dish of the Night, Aztec Pudding with Duck, White truffle and Foie Gras.
Set Menu: The five photos below are Mexican dishes offered in the set menu, not included in the buffet.
Above: Aztec Pudding with Duck, White truffle and Foie Gras (Available on Set Menu)
Above: Breaded Goat Cheese ball with Wormseed and Bean Sauce
Above: Pineapple Muffin with Tepache
Buffet: Aside of the set menu, below are all the foods included in the buffet.
Above: Variety of local and international dishes.
Above: The grill corner, just pick your choices and wait for someone to cook for you. Just sit down and chill !
Above: Baked Duck, Mango and Manzano Chile Sauce with flour Tortillas (another star dish of the night).
Above: Beef Pepperoni with Grilled Beed Pepper Pizza. Thin and crispy layer of dough, just exactly right.
If you fancy Japanese food instead, do not worry. There are also wide varieties of Japanese sashimi and sushi for you.

We managed to take some photos together, happily married couple.
Sunny and I did not miss the chance to take a photo together as well, followed by a group photo together.

Again, another great food, great place and great company !
