The Making of Snow Skin Moon Cakes @ Zuan Yuan, One World Hotel

Hunger for Moon Cakes already? The first ever moon cakes I tried this year was from Zuan Yuan Restaurant in One World Hotel. Together with me, taufulou.com, foodpoi.com, and sneakylily joined forces for our cooking lesson. The highlights was the Low Sugar Wheat Grass and Green Tea Snow Skin Mooncakes. Snow skin recipes are icing sugar, glutinous rice flour, shortening and green tea powder.

Nasi Padang Pariaman @ Concorde Hotel, Malaysia

The first and only Nasi Padang I had before was at Sari Ratu in Jakarta. Yesterday, I was invited to try out Ramadhan buffet at Concorde which offers Nasi Padang as their buffet theme. After being seated besides with fellow blogger friends, I wandered around and was amazed with amount of choices available. Who doesn't love ikan bakar or ayam bakar, right? Do not be surprised if I tell you that the Chef is actually mother and son ! Nurdeli Mansorman (a.k.a Mak Deli) and Irwan Arifin will be dishing up a stunning array of Padang specialities for this year's Ramadhan buffet. So, gear up your stomach and book your seat.

Looking for Shanghai Cuisine in Malaysia?

Recently, several chefs from The Eton Hotel Shanghai came over to One World Hotel to showcase authentic Shanghainese dishes for a limited 10 days only. The most attractive dish of all had to go to the Braised Whole Eel with Soya Sauce. The flesh was soft and flavourful but the taste was plain.
