No, I did not spell Chinese wrongly. CHYNIIS offers various types of Chinese cuisine around the country. Pronounced as ‘Chinese’, CHYNIIS aims to present the best of Chinese cuisine around the country, all in one restaurant. Their menu features all the best from both West & East Malaysia. As the appetizer, we were served the addictive deep fried shrimps. These is definitely not for high cholesterol people. When the Tea Smoked Village Chicken was served, the aroma surrounded the whole place. It was smoked and infused with ‘Pu li’ Tea for well over one hour. This is a must order when you visit this place !

The second appetizer that we had were Crispy Pork Belly with Rolled Chargrilled Cuttlefish, which was savoury and slightly sweet flavour due to the caramelized cuttlefish surrounding the crispy pork belly. Another addictive dish !

The next dish was an eye-opener for me - Baked Giant River Prawns with ‘Dang Gui’ and Butter. Now, can you imagine Dang Gui cooked in this style? The Dang Gui cooking style that I know tried was the herbal soup. This combination of fresh water prawns + Dang Gui = Prawn Sucking Good !

The Fish Balls with Japanese Potato Glass Noodles was huge and firm balls made from mackerel fish, presented on a bed of silky smooth potato glass noodles. It was ok but nothing to shout about for me.

The CHYNIIS House Special Boneless Crispy Chicken caught my attention even though I was starting to feel full. However, when I heard that this dish was boneless, (Except for the chicken wings), I took a bite and mmm..... I took another one, and another one....and another one.

The star of the night was none other than CHYNIIS Sang Har Mee, or Fresh water prawn noodles.

Next was Beef Squares with Beancurd Skin and Puffed Rice - square pieces of beef were delicately wrapped with a thin layer of fragrant beancurd skin, and deep fried to give it a nice crispy exterior while maintaining the tenderness within.

Dessert yet, you asked? I hope so, but it did not stop here. Next - CHYNIIS Special Handmade ‘Man Tou’. Shaped to look like sausage rolls, these man tou were exceptionally soft and fluffy, good to eat even on its own.

The man tou goes well with Hot & Spicy Chili Crabs! Just look at the orange red gravy. Looks tempting right?
