Authentic Hakka Food in Bandar Puteri - Chi Ka Yin

I have been to many restaurant in Bandar Puteri lately, simply because it’s near to my house. More and more restaurants are opening in that area, causing a very competitive environment. However, it did not shake the very authentic Hakka restaurant - Chi Ka Yin. It offers a feel of home-cooked Hakka cuisine, together with cozy and comfortable environment.

Above is the menu, the price is quite reasonable and the owner kept telling us that if a family chooses to dine here, one person should not pay more than RM15. That’s good enough for me to bring my entire family there. Furthermore, it’s healthy choice, that’s most important !

Swiss Garden Hotel KL – Introducing New Garden Themed at Grand Hibiscus Ballroom

Some of you who stay or work nearby the Pudu area will know the tallest building at that near. Yes, I’m talking about Swiss-Garden Hotel KL, which strategically located in the centre of KL city. It has been main attraction to tourists or locals who need easy access to Bintang Walk and Chinatown.

Recently, the hotel has their new jewel.  The 2 new ballrooms – the Grand Lotus ballroom and Grand  Hibiscus ballroom. Grand Hibiscus is the largest ballroom in the hotel, able to seat 40 tables or 400 people in banquet style. The newly built Grand Hibiscus Ballroom boasting a 540 sqm of function space, open for wedding reservation.

Now, you may start to realize that everything is in lavender and white color ! That’s the theme of the night and it’s up to the wedding couple to choose whatever color they prefer. According to the manager, the red and gold color has always been the top preference so far. So now you know what color to avoid :-) human beings always look for something unique and uncommon, right?

Next, let me present to you the selection of dishes that wedding couple may choose from.

After admiring the ballroom in awe, we had the chance to sample one of its wedding set menus. There are several different sets available ranging from Lavender, Red, Gold and so on. The price ranges for these wedding sets are from RM788+ to RM1,388++.

The next dish was the Red Garoupa “Yin Yong” Style. The sinner side of it was served as deep-fried fish rolls filled with cheese in the middle. One bite into the fried fish would render the cheese melting in your mouth. Munching it together with the fresh fish produced a combination I never experienced before, but commendable nonetheless.
